Fee module with events...

I just installed the fee module. I also installed all of the modules necessary to provide fee payment collection etc. (bio and, the simple paypal framework). As soon as I do that, it wants me to pay a default fee:
"Your registration is not complete. Please proceed with fee payment."
I see this on all pages. I only want to charge fees for events.
I also don't see an option for "fee" when I am creating the new event. I did add the fees module afterwards. Is this a concern?
Any feedback is much appreciated..

Same Problem Fee Has a perpetual notification.

did uyou get any responses to your post? I'm having the same issue. I understand that the Fee Module was designed to handle one event at a time has this changed? I have set up the paypal info and I can get the payments to go to my account but even after a user has paid the registration fee for my event the Red notification still appears that "Your registration is not complete. Please proceed with fee payment."
What are we doing wrong?
My Event is approaching and I would really like to use this Module to track user registration.

I went with CiviCRM and am charging per event / registration. It's a lot of overhead to manage, but I've catered it to my user audience (so far).
