The Revival meets Drupal 6
I have been working on this site for a while now... and have just got the initial version out there.

http://www.therevival.co.uk/forum
The old site was wordpress (still viewable in wp-site/), static pages (static/) and phpBB. The new site is all Drupal.
I ported the phpBB2drupal module to Drupal 6 and I am using a few other module out there. The theme is a heavily modified version of "4 Seasons" available on this site.
main site is a little bare because I decided that a staright import from wordpress would be a bad idea - I want to go for quality over quantity, but the old stuff will still remain where it is.
There are small glitches here and there(can't seem to get rid of the grey bar at the top of the page), but overall I am pretty happy with the outcome.
And it will keep getting better as many of the modules used are still slightly flakey - many dev versions are being used. Some planned features are waiting for the right modules to be ported over to Drupal 6.x
That may sound like a negative, but for me it was a godsend - it helped make the project manageable. and ti will allow me to think through new features more thoroughly before I apply them.
Any questions? suggestions? just ask.
The website allows anonymous posting, if you want to put it through its paces.

Look at the forums
Forgot to mention - have a look at the forums. The integrated drupal forum really does shine. Just need to add a pager to the top of the comments.
much nicer looking then the
much nicer looking then the previous site, very clean looking. I'd be interested to see what it looks like once you get all the content in / ported. Especially since reading the initial content on the real site and then seeing the poll on the front page I was a bit confused about just how serious this organization was ;) lol.
Thanks
yeah, they have to put up with me and my "humour". Don't envy them for that. But since this isa voluntary gig by me - they can't say no to that can they?
I will be adding most of the content back in "real soon now". :)
Only problem is I like how clean the home page looks atm. Adding the content back in may just ruin it. or not.
Hmm .. I just a quick look
Hmm .. I just a quick look on my Mac (Firefox & Safari) and I don't see a gray bar at the top of the page. But if it still shows up (are you on widows?) maybe you could try the theming tool in the DEVEL module to see what CSS/HTML/module is creating it.

heh, it does not show up
heh, it does not show up with the themeing module Nor in Firefox 2. It does in the beta of Firefox 3, and Internet Explorer 7.
Not too bothered about it as even when it is there only I know it is not something I wanted...
Shameless bump
Shameless bump - I have changed many things on the site. Tweaked the layout, changed the colours (which I am still experimenting with - I am not good with colours/graphics and it takes forever to get some that go well together - any pointers will be appreciated.). There is now content on there too.
Still a few things to do, but they are more on the tech side.
A quick shout out to a few modules that I had no idea that I would end up using (these are probably the less loved, less visible ones, but have been very valuable to me):
1. extlink - puts an image next to email address and external links. Allows you to set that they open in a new window by dafault.
2. porterstemmer - breaks down words into their stems for better search. No idea if it works, but it sounds good.
3. comment_subject - Get the title from the thread parent or the node parent. as auto fill the subject field with it. Leads to readable comment titles in the comment block.
4. Autologout. members actually WANTED the site to log them out after a certain period and were disturbed when the default did not and they went on a few days later...
5. Search404 - better handling of broken links. it gets terms from the address and searches for logical parts of it. Does not always work, but if it does, it is a good thing.
6. Quote - puts a quote link on comments.
I am using quite a few others too, but they seem to be better known, more visible. (ACL/forum_access, Image + friends, privatemsg, avatar selection, BBCode, pathauto and more)
Gotta once again thank the four seasons theme for insight into the theme, a structure to work with and the image I am using behind the logo.
As for things which I am waiting for:
1. Smileys module - I attempted to port it myself but it gives some errors and crashed on the add/edit pages.
2. Quicktags. I am using a patch to bbcode_wysiwyg atm, but I think I will prefer quicktags once it is out. I did also try to port it, but instead of the buttons I got another textarea.
3. The path I am using for privatemsg is not feature complete (the later ones cause other problems as mailboxes are renamed...).
4. I do plan on moving to Advanced_forum at some point, but the current forums IMO do look very nice.
5. Nodequeue (Probably Panels and views too - but not essential.).
6. Other "feature" modules which may or may not be of use. Such as events, drigg etc etc.
