The goal of the site is to be something like a cross between a message board, a blog, a social networking site, bookmarking site, voting site, news site. The home page content is determined by user votes and last comment date (basically the content has to get x # of positive votes to be promoted then it's sorted by last comment date descending). The site also has buddy lists so you can have a network of friends on the site. When you post content, you can decide whether the content is viewable by everyone, just your buddies, or just yourself. There is only one type of content on the site called a "post". A post can include textual content, inline images, an image gallery, and multiple videos. The videos work like youtube... upload the video and it's converted to FLV format on the back end. you can decide the order of each section of your post (body, videos, image gallery). Only the first section shows up in the teasers. the site also includes invite functionality and private messages... there some more stuff I still need to tweak, but check it out if you get a minute and let me know if you find any bugs...
