Adding a field in the Advanced Forum user profile

mormorrona - October 31, 2008 - 01:34

Hi,

First of all I should say I am not a coder (at least not a web coder) and to me it seems magic. :)
I installed Advanced Forum and User Stats because I wanted that the forum showed several things: posts counts and the karma.
As you may already realize the karma is not shown.

My question is how could I have the karma shown in the forum? I may also be interested in adding any other profile field to the forum posts.

Another problem I have is that the reply, delete and so on buttons don't seem to be in their positions. What is the problem?

Thanks!

.

If you're not a coder, your best bet is to put a feature request in the karma module's issue queue and ask them to add support for advanced forum. You're not going to be able to do this without coding.

Drupal is written in PHP so that and javascript are the best languages to learn when working with Drupal.

Thank you Michelle. You are very kind and diligent, so I appreciate it a lot. I'll try to dive into the PHP and AJAX world.

PHP will get you the furthest to start. I've been at this 3.5 years and I still don't know js. It's something I'd like to learn, though, as it can add extra pizazz to your sites. :)
