Taxonomy_search does not search in synonyms

Description
Although this feature is advertised in the module description, it does not search in the synonims. How can I make this work?

It should be working - I cannot recreate this issue. Can you give me steps to recreate it?

I'm working with Drupal 5.12, and I've tried versions 5.x-1.x and 5.x-2.0.
1.x seems to work fine, but it's not working with synonyms or descriptions. 2.0 is not working at all. I do not receive any result for any vocabulary. Do I have to configure something? I have checked the readme.txt and followed the instructions, but it's not working.
I'm moving to 1.x again until I have a solution to this.

Are you running cron to populate the search index?

I've just re¡nstalled the module and run cron until 100% of the site is reindexed. The same result, 0 findings. Back again to 1.x and everything working fine except for synonynms
