Deleting Trackbacks in my MYSQL table?

Hi,

Some how a site I work on has a HUGE amount of trackback spam. Over 200 pages worth on the trackback module.

I'd like to just delete them all in the MYSQL database. I found the table where they are located, but I was wondering if a more experienced drupal admin could recommend a safe way to delete the content of my Trackback tables and not cause any other side effects.

(Also, what good modules out there will block trackback spam?)
