Someone to build a large community website
Hello,
I'm looking for someone who has mastered the drupal cms system (building a site with completely custom modules & layout). I've tried building the site myself, but only got as far as getting my custom theme work. Everything else has been really difficult. I want to make a site that works exactly like www.ultimate-guitar.com in terms of searching, rating, commenting and community. With a few tweaks to the modules to work more or less the way I envision (such as the ability for users to upload their own files and the database automatically sort them out). The site will consist of two different layouts (which I have already made and converted into a drupal theme myself). So you won't have to worry about that. The layout is completely custom, far different than any basic drupal theme out right now.
Take a look at www.ultimate-guitar.com and see how it works. If you can do this type of community website please reply back to me with links to similar sites you've done and a price. After I have recieved a few replies from people in this forum, I will personally e-mail the person of my choosing back with the job. I hope to have this site done within one week from project start.

1 week is an impossible time
1 week is an impossible time frame UNLESS you have maybe 20 people working on the site. With 2-3 people on the project, this will take 2 months ish. With 1 person, it is definitely longer.

... scope out the requirements and bid on a project of this size.
A website like www.ultimate-guitar.com most likely tooks many months to construct by a team of developers, designers and project managers and probably cost tens of thousands of dollars. And this does not include the content, which probably took many additional months and years to amass.
With all due respect your expectations are so incredibly unrealistic it's not even worth commenting on further.
