Description

I configured it to show email from an imap server on the same server and I still cannot get it to show anything.

I configured this way:

imap
Port 143
no SSL
no encryption

users need to put their user id and password (this is because my imap server uses username+domain.com instead of just username)

What can I do about it?, I really like to have it working.

Sorry about the slow reply. I've been swamped w/non-Drupal stuff for a few months.

All of my accounts use the "user@example.com" format, and they work correctly for me. I'm not sure if that's what you meant or not.

Are you saying that nothing at all is showing up? You should at least be getting either the message "No items have been selected to be displayed.", or the message "There was a problem checking the mailbox. Please check the logs for errors, correct them and try again."

Have you tried going to the 'checkmail' page? Do you have the 'Check e-mail' block enabled?

I tried it both ways, in a server that doesn't need domain and on another that does and I got the same result.

One question though, in the configuration settings, should I put something in the login id field if I'm using each person with their own login ids?

You didn't answer the questions I asked.

No.

What it says is that that there is no login id configured, but each user has it configured, that's why I'm asking you if the login id in the administration section needs to be filled out too and what should I put there (if it needs to be filled out)

You have the dot in front of "Use additional fields in the user account to collect the login ID and password from each user." in the administrative settings page? And in each user's account settings you (or someone) has added the "E-mail account login ID" and "Password" (along with the "Confirm password") in their "Checkmail authentication settings" section?

That is correct,

Admin section I have the option "Use additional fields in the user account to collect the login ID and password from each user." selected and each user fills out their own login ID and password for this purpose (specially in the one that needs domain).

Does every user get the 'there is no login id configured' message? If so, you might try uninstalling and reinstalling the module, maybe even including removing and re-downloading the files.

I will try it and let you know how it went.

I tried it in both servers, from the beggining, deleting the module, files, etc and puting it back and all I get in the logs is: There is no login ID configured.

As per the user I get: There was a problem checking the mailbox. Please check the logs for errors, correct them and try again.

Okay, try setting the "Use the form fields in the 'Login settings' fieldset below for the login information. (All users, who are allowed access, will see the same information." option on the administrative settings form and then add in the relevant information in the "Login settings" section beneath it and see if that works.

What's the purpose of everyone seeing the same information?

#12

oadaeh - February 10, 2009 - 16:48

The purpose isn't so that everyone can the see the same information. The purpose is to find out why it's not working for you.

This time, it did work. Any other suggestion?
