Description

My webcam supports a still-image (jpg) snapshot via the url [camera_address].snapshot.cgi. If I insert that address into the webcam image url, only the default image ever displays. If I insert that address into the default image url, the webcam image displays. It even updates on schedule.

I would prefer to have it display from the webcam image url setting, so that I can use the default image url setting for a "technical difficulties" image when the webcam is down for some reason. I assume there is some sort of filter on the webcam setting that is dumping the image because of the .cgi extension (even though it is a .jpg file that is delivered). Can someone point me to the appropriate section of code that I would need to modify?

Also, is there a way to mask the camera URL address from someone right-clicking on the image and checking the properties? I have limited bandwidth here at home and would prefer that curious individuals not access the video feed, which they could figure out from the camera address.

Thankyou for your time.
