- Drupal contributions
If I had money, I would be at every Drupalcon. Association contributor (user/1360), and I contribute to module projects when there is money to do it. Started with Drupal D6 in June08, and administer 7 Drupal sites as of 7/09. Test pages at www.davebeall.com (disaster zone).
Just starting to learn php November 2009, wish me luck (I know, 10 years overdue). I never saw any need to learn php till Drupal and the desire to hack/fix things in contributed modules.Documentation: I enjoy helping with documentation, whether it be rolling comments into pages, adding bits of missing details or working on a handbook(wish I had more time). The more I use Drupal, the more I value good documentation that anyone can understand.
How I write documentation: Assume the reader is a new user.
"Just tell me step by step exactly how to do it and don't leave anything out! (no mater how simple it might seem)."
That way I will learn it quickly the first time without searching and I can go on to my next task.I help in the forums when I know the answer(there seems to be lots of complicated questions). If you need help, please use my contact form to send a question or tell me to go on IRC. IRC nick dbeall on #drupal, #drupal-support or #drupal-docs
